Love you daddy!

Happy Valentines day Jeremy, i know this is like super belated since you live in the future. i am glad you got our super special package in time though! hooray for the mail for once. Just a little close up shot accenting my colorful eyes. Definitly not brown (yet), i'm thinking hazel though. mom can change them drastically with my outfits. bright blue, light green, even gold flecked. We miss you very much!!! Come home soon.

scary baby

Well, here she is , denture smile and all. jeremy is really freaked out by this photo, saying she looks like some scary clown baby, what did he expect? She is his child after all.

Hemi loves the moose she got for christmas. it is her favorite travel friend. She got a cute hippo in the mail for v-day and i can't wait to get a picture of her attacking it's ears.

She still has the prettiest smile in Raytown. This is the best part of my morning, i roll over annoyed at the racket she is making by playing with her little dolls and the minute we meet eyes, my heart melts with this smile. That and she gets all quiet and softly rubs my face. I know, trying to wrap around my finger, turning my frown upside down. She must get the scam artist gene from me.
We are getting more hair. all on top though. it makes her look taller because it all sticks up. It's pretty fine. Hemi is wicked alert now, sometimes i think she is going to break her neck at how fast she snaps it to the side. oh, let me mention she loves to hang upside down too, go figure. thats alright, a happy baby is a welcome blessing. i expected much worse.

latest news

well, i was going to post the cutest little video clip but i need a little bit more software to do so. lets see, what is going on in Missouri. Hemi has decided that she is a really old man and talks like one nearly all day. Her and grandpa just go on like they're 90 year olds. She is also really teething and when she sticks her gums together it looks like she is missing her dentures!

My mom's dad has been moved to a rehab unit in the hospital. The final cut was 2 in' below his left knee. He's getting better at starting to do things for himself. My grandma is busy planning where they go from here.

In other news, this is for our family after all, Iceburg (my hedgehog) is not doing well. She stopped eating and drinking two weeks ago. Yesterday i coaxed her out and got her to drink a little and was stunned! She is about 1/4 of the size she used to be, i realize that's what happens when you don't eat but my goodness! she is like a baby. Her little face was so sweet, so tiny, i sat with her for a long time. Then she went back to bed. i'm at that point that i don't know what to do. She is very old for a hedgie and any treatments would prolong the inevitable. the nearest hedgie vet is an hour away. We'll see what another week brings.

We are expecting puppies next month. All red and white. A few are spoken for so i hope everything goes smoothly. i had sold some adult dogs last August and the buyers never picked them up, thank the Lord that they finally came! What a relief.

Hemi has picked a furry friend, well he picked her. It is our big male Tomato, they are so adorable together, when it gets warmer out i will snap some shots. Hope everyone is well. i have to go catch Hemi now, she is motering all over the living room.

Another week down

Another week has come and gone, which is really nice. What happened this past week, nothing much here on my end. All the excitement happens back at home. Hemi had an assesment a few days ago to see how she was progressing as a baby. She did very well, and is normal for a baby her age, with the exception that she is a little advanced in regards to her motor skills. She has learned to rollover both ways, thanks to her personal trainer... her Mom. Her activity makes me think of when we had the first ultra-sound of her, and her little arm and leg numbs were moving extremely fast. Hemi likes to move. Brandi is sick, and Hemi is teething. My poor girls. I think that about sums it up. Well, I hope everyone has a simply marvy week, and survives the snow back home!

Saturday?

It's funny how time goes really really fast at times. I am very thankful that time is going really really fast as that means it is one week less over hear, and one week closer to getting home. My week was so-so, and Brandi has spent most of her week in the Hospital visiting with Grandpa Pena. They expect him to be in the hospital for quite some time due to some infections in his leg. We really appreciate all the prayers. I am going to give a shout out to an awesome picture site called snapfish. This is where I get my Hemi fix at. Brandi uploads the pictures and then I can view them. but that's not the least of this site. You can order print's, up to poster sized prints of pictures... Brandi would call me insane, but there are so many pictures of Hemi that I think would be awesome as posters, simply because she has awesome facial expressions that lend themselves to funny qoutes. You can even get stationary and cups and on and on. I could easily become some kind of deranged addict, that is for sure. Hope everyon'es saturday is a relaxing one.
p.s. - even though it says 9ish pm friday, it is Saturday morning for me, about 8ish am. it's kind of like I am in the future, but I cannot wait to get back into the present
